14th May - Quick update: Yesterday I started updating the product listings. So far the sandalwood and oud categories have been addressed - some new imagery, wholesale options on more of the sandalwoods and ouds, tweaks to content, and I have updated the age of these aromatics as well. Price increases on Cambodi oud and Thai Fruit Spice oud due to the age of these aromatics. Next, due to many requests, we are going to reintroduce sample sets by the weekend. We will offer rose, sandalwood and oud sample sets. Next, until May 31st we are trialling a lower shipping rate to the UK. On orders of 350 Euros or more, UK shipping drops from 38.99 to 12.99 Euros with UPS. Next, across June we will get a Facebook competition up and running. Also yesterday I added an Ambrette CO2 to the shop. This is really special product as first it was produced in 2022 - so before the ambrette crisis - and second profile wise the musk tonalities are exceptionally rounded, smooth, clean, powerful and longlisting with zero fatty aspects. Order lead-time now in hand at 3 working days too : ) Thanks, Adam : ) PS - Please can I ask clients to leave reviews if possible as it helps improve the website experience for others greatly. Thank you.

Adam Michael has this to say “It is principally to the esters that lavender owes its delicate perfume and high altitude lavender essential oil has arguably the finest aroma of all lavender oils. Lavender high altitude essential oil grows at around 1500 metres above sea-level, contains approximately 55% linalyl acetate and is also known as lavender 50/52. Aromatically it is indeed an excellent material, great strength, lavender field fresh, really full bodied lavender floral with a somewhat fruity nuance. Provides lift to floral accords, imparts intense freshness within herbal accords, a must for lavender bases and pairs very well with patchoulol rich materials.
Produced by steam distilling the freshly cut flowering tops of high altitude grown lavender, yellowish in colour, of a pourable viscosity and a truly fantastic bottle of lavender.”
Botanical Name: Lavandula angustifolia
Origin: France

This French lavender oil, rich in linayl acetate, displays the clean, fresh, fruity-floral odor profile for which ‘high altitude’ lavenders are prized due to their high ester content. Wild-grown, high-altitude lavender flowers generally contain more esters, and high-altitude distillation occurs at a lower boiling temperature, slowing hydrolysis of linalyl esters. This Hermitage offering is among the best lavender oils sold online, and represents excellent value for money.

Think of lavender in early autumn, ready to be cut. This material is lovely, colorless and camphorous. Dry-down is smooth and delicate.

Nothing to add to already exhaustive descriptions and reviews, except that it was gone, as used up, very fast and in voracious manner – a soul touching, skin healing remedy in its simultaneous sophistication and simplcity.
