10th May at 6.30pm: Today we have lost a little ground on the progress we have been making of late. The area we live in was without electricity from the early morning until late this afternoon. However by Tuesday all the May orders on our books will be dispatched. And I am now aiming at addressing the wholesale list from early next week - it will happen I promise. Good news on the SDS front, we received another batch of them including for plantation ouds and across next week they will be uploaded to the site. Please remember SDS are only available by logging into your account and going to the SDS section. Here you find everything on file connected to your purchases. Ok, we are taking the weekend off now for some family time, so we will be out of contact until Monday. Thanks to everyone as always for your support of our little business and if it's ever possible to leave reviews please do so as they help improve the website experience for everyone that visits. Thank you, Adam : )

Adam Michael has this to say “The aroma of angelica root CO2 is root earthy, herbaceous warm, with hints of edgy black pepper on a base of leather and soft musk. This material is far more rounded, fulsome, complete and in harmony compared to the essential oil which is a little rougher around the edges in comparison.
For the perfumer CO2 excels in developing earth, musk and smoky notes and provides a playful twist for the citrus based composition. In trace amounts angelica CO2 blends especially beautifully with patchouli and vetivert materials, softening the raw edgy notes and imparting playfulness, warmth and added lift. This CO2 is a select extract, golden yellow in colour, of a pourable viscosity and a major constituent is osthol at 8.6%.”

At last an Angelica material that is perfect for the perfumer and not only the aromatherapist. As someone who has owned and used many an Angelica essential oil, I cannot recommend this too highly for all of us who want to incorporate the mysterious depth of this complex root into “dark” creations.

The CO2 extract is not like the EO. I find this a more versatile oil because it adds a deep, peppery note without the distinct “Angelica” top note of the EO. I believe this also has a fixative quality for heart notes which makes it even more useful.
