17th April at 2.15pm: Quick update to say all orders placed on the 9th have been collected just now by DHL. Orders placed on the 10th and 11th will all leave by the 19th. I will type again on Friday regarding orders placed from the 12th onwards. Other news, by Friday I am releasing a few more very big ticket rarities including our Italian Oakwood Absolute and a super grail rose otto. Thank you, Adam : )
15th April at 5.30pm: Today I am running behind but I am happy to say that along with all E.U countries, we now can supply to the USA again. USA switched on just now and the Mysore Sandalwood 4 year aged E.O offer is extended for a week for USA clients to enjoy too. By Wednesday 17th all orders from the 9th April will be dispatched with DHL. Although we are rather full-on with orders at the moment, the lead time will improve significantly very shortly. Reason being since reopening the focus has been solely on building stocks up and we have staff coming on as well now (at last!). I will write again on Wednesday regarding lead times. This week my tasks are to get on top of the SDS we are owed by the company we have employed to handle this. And other than this I am adamant I will update the bulk wholesale list with more aromatics. Finally for now - the following 11 aromatics have recently been added to the site - French Rose Geranium E.O, Sandalwood Mysore E.O 4 Year Aged, Tuscan Olive Leaf Absolute, Mitti Attar (Petrichor), Persian Queen of Roses (Otto), Tomato Leaf Absolute, Oud Assami Skank E.O V.1, South Indian 10 Year Aged Vetiver E.O, Bengali Nagarmotha E.O, VIolet Leaf Concrete, Italian Helichrysum Absolute S.G. Thank you, Adam : )

Adam Michael has this to say “The opening notes of labdanum absolute are heavy-resinous-pine, amber, floral, light-woody, balsamic with a Mediterranean citrus melody. The heart notes are sweet woody, rich amber balsamic, sweet soft lemony, cough medicinal with a note comparable to the taste of eating black coloured wine gums. The base notes are warm, heavy amber, floral, pine shavings, woody. This absolute is produced by solvent extracting the Spanish labdanum gum-resin. We also now offer Labdanum Resin Absolute Super Premium from Cyprus.”
Joseph Colbourne has this to say “A thick, mahogany brown semi-liquid from Spain, this absolute evokes for me wet damn leaves, a walk through a deciduous forest in Vermont, mid-October, after a soft rain, looking under stones for earwigs and pillbugs as a child. Labdanum embodies both autumnal radiance and formidable depth, its resinous, balsamic offering meditative countenance upon inhalation. As it dries, leather drunks in attics, the powdery aroma of aging glue in book binders, incense in solemn churches, dim light through rose windows and crepuscular mystery come to mind. There are notes of oak, sycamore trees, leather, moss, fossilized amber, the understory of a forest. This is a brilliant labdanum of profound fixative value; as a base, it will anchor blends ravishingly.”

Just as good if not better than any labdanum I’ve ever met, fruity, leathery sweet and balsamic. Very versatile and the longevity is outstanding. I dilute this by putting the bottle in half a cup of recently boiled water for 5 mins then pouring some into a larger bottle and weighing. I then add the necessary quantity of alcohol at which point the labdanum hardens again. With the lid tightly closed I then place this bottle into very warm water and a few mins later, a gentle shake gets everything dossolved and clear. No filtering necessary as with some other labdanum I’ve encountered.

– I tried it on my skin with some sandalwood on top of it to help with diffusion. Resinous woody galore with a gorgeous leathery vibe.
– For an extra kick, I sometimes add some orris resnoid to makes it a very serious and sensuous leathery affair on my skin.
– It is sweet, woody, and slightly to quite leathery (depending on the weather as they have a positive relationship)
– This goes beautifully well with all the materials that have incensy, woody, smokey, white floral types qualities. I made a tuberose heavy attar where it plays a very important role, where I added lots of sandalwood, oud and some resins.
– I love it. 5/5

This is an incredibly nice product. State of the art labdanum. Now, be ready for stickiness when dissolving it! Definitely worth a try.

Look no further if you want a rich, lavish, luxurious Laudanum that fully deserves its Premium tag. A must have material for this price.

The labdanum absolute SP is a fireball that will impact everything in the composition, starting with the top notes. This one is more of a base note and won’t pop that much in earlier stages of your composition, and that’s what I was looking for after the Super Premium. This one is more leathery, I would say less sweet and overall darker. Not as many layers to unfold as the SP but an amazing rich and deep basenote + not as invasive. Using it in my amber accord as I didn’t wanted a labdanum note that would jump right at you in a final composition including the accord. This labdanum is sensual and the leather qualities, while not overbearing, definitely add a sexy layer. If you are looking for what I would consider a more classic labdanum, this is the one to go for.

Delicious, rich, pheromonal perfume in its own right. All the classical attributes of Labdanum – at the top-notch performance and effortless balance of this vegetable Amber. My default Labdanum – especially for night time perfumes.
